It is fairly simple, you  line  a 5 quart bowl (preferably stainless steel) with cling wrap, then freeze it. Meanwhile you soften a first ice cream, and pat it around the bowl in an even layer. You refreeze everything for a few hours while thawing a second ice cream and repeat.<br \/>\nA piece of advice, allow at least 24 hours of freezing after you have filled your bowl. The colder your freezer, the better.<br \/>\nAlso when choosing the order in which to layer, think of the colors. I started with strawberry, followed by Oreo cooke ice cream, next came pistachio and finally chocolate. I now see that it would have looked better if the chocolate came between the Oreo and the pistachio as these two are too close in colour to offer a visible contrast.<br \/>\nTo un mold you might run a warm damp cloth around the bowl and then turn it upside down over your serving platter. The cling wrap will help unfold.
