When I came back hours later, carrying a suitcase and two bags, the attendant was gone. There was a piece of paper stuck to a post that said that keys could be retrieved at the main gate (three blocks away). I walked back to the main gate, (cursing myself for not carrying a spare set in my purse), waited for my turn in line between cars and got my keys.<\/p>\n<p>After lugging my bags all the way back, I started looking for my car&#8230;.I walked up and down\u00a0 row after\u00a0 row of vehicles&#8230; I tried the remote button but no light went on and no horn blared&#8230;All the cars seemed the same colour: gray, like mine&#8230; all shades of gray&#8230;It felt like a joke&#8230;.could I have walked by it and missed it? I walked through it again.<\/p>\n<p>Out of ideas, I crossed over to the next lot&#8230;.and there it was! Among a sea of gray cars&#8230;.Why they parked my car so far away from where I left it&#8230;I will never know&#8230;but I made up my mind then and there that my next car will be a flamboyant colour so at least it will stand out in a crowd&#8230;.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u00a0It was raining, the parking lot was full, I had to hand my car keys over to an attendant.
