I am told they are used in cooking and in drinks&#8230; I can see them floating in a martini.<\/p>\n<p>At first glance they remind me of dates. They are the same size.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/flyingplates.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/lime1.jpg\" title=\"lime1.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/flyingplates.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/lime1.jpg\" alt=\"lime1.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>But when you slice them open they are a cross between a tiny grapefruit  and a pomegranate.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/flyingplates.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/lime2.jpg\" title=\"lime2.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/flyingplates.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/lime2.jpg\" alt=\"lime2.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>And it is surprising the amount of beads that come out when you squeeze it.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/flyingplates.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/lime3.jpg\" title=\"lime3.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/flyingplates.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/lime3.jpg\" alt=\"lime3.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I know I have read about this fruit, and the shopkeeper told me the name&#8230;but I cannot remember what it is.
