Everything we ever see in antique sites or museums are bare stone or marble, but this statue was not only huge, it was painted in very bright colors according to what the archeologists have found. These fallen columns can give a clue as to the scale of things.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery columns-1 is-cropped wp-block-gallery-2 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\"><ul class=\"blocks-gallery-grid\"><li class=\"blocks-gallery-item\"><figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"450\" height=\"337\" src=\"https:\/\/flyingplates.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/image-388.png\" alt=\"\" data-id=\"4100\" class=\"wp-image-4100\" srcset=\"https:\/\/flyingplates.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/image-388.png 450w, https:\/\/flyingplates.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/image-388-300x225.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/><\/figure><\/li><\/ul><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Can you imagine the testosterone, when thousands of men gathered there to meet, relax, train and compete?
