The landscape is completely different from any of the previous stops. This island is green and lush\u2026and somehow you can feel you are in Italy, by the architecture, the aesthetics, the flowers, the shop windows, the way people dress\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our tour started with a walk through Taormina. This could well be a corner of paradise. Beautiful views, lovely cobblestone streets, flowered balconies, enticing shops, plenty of restaurants and even a Greco-roman theatre! What more can one ask for?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The main street is dotted with piazzas surrounding fountains or churches or, often, both! It feels like stepping back in history, there are old private palazzos, next to medieval towers\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery columns-2 is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\"><ul class=\"blocks-gallery-grid\"><li class=\"blocks-gallery-item\"><figure><a href=\"https:\/\/flyingplates.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/image-439.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"450\" height=\"337\" src=\"https:\/\/flyingplates.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/image-439.png\" alt=\"\" data-id=\"4174\" class=\"wp-image-4174\" come as you walk up towards the Archeological site, you have the most amazing views.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery columns-2 is-cropped wp-block-gallery-4 is-layout-flex that you want to see appear out of the clouds is Mount Etna. This is one of the most active volcanoes in the world and is in an almost constant state of eruption.
