Great for tennis&#8230; and possibly golf too but otherwise a bit disappointing.\u00a0They do run a sports academy for young athletes\u00a0\u00a0from around the world\u00a0in those 2 disciplines, which I found interesting but has no impact on the guests&#8230;\u00a0The food was not up to par with other villages, the rooms were ordinary, the location is \u00a0far from the beach and \u00a0airports, making a car rental an obligatory extra expense&#8230;.We got an earful about their new philosophy and their new target clientele&#8230; After being a regular client for \u00a040 years, I am not sure I will keep \u00a0being a fan&#8230;The only memorable photo I took is that of a lizard (for lack of a proper name) that was puffing up&#8230; I presume to attract some invisible female.<a href=\"https:\/\/flyingplates.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/lezard1.jpg\" title=\"lezard1.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/flyingplates.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/lezard1.jpg\" alt=\"lezard1.jpg\" \/><\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/flyingplates.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/lezard1.jpg\" title=\"lezard1.jpg\"><\/a><br \/>\nIt was a fam and this allowed us to visit their sailboat the Club Med 2 which is something I had been wanting to do for a long time. It is an older ship so the cabins are a bit dark having only \u00a0small portholes to let natural light in&#8230; However I have a feeling the food is spectacular and sailing out on the open seas with all sails up must also be quite an experience. Cruising on this ship is expensive but drinks are included&#8230;champagne and all. On the other hand, the clientele is mostly french, so that is something to also take into consideration&#8230;<a href=\"https:\/\/flyingplates.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/clubmed2.jpg\" title=\"clubmed2.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/flyingplates.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/clubmed2.jpg\" alt=\"clubmed2.jpg\" \/><\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/flyingplates.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/clubmed2.jpg\" title=\"clubmed2.jpg\"><\/a><br \/>They have a water sportscenter that opens up to the water at the back of the ship&#8230;<a href=\"https:\/\/flyingplates.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/clubmed3.jpg\" title=\"clubmed3.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/flyingplates.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/clubmed3.jpg\" alt=\"clubmed3.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/br><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I have also been to Florida again, this time on the east coast at Club Med SandPiper on the St Lucie River.
