Pirate ship / Dec. 2015This cake is similar to the Noah's arc cake but with different details. Some were plastic some were edible such as the cannons, which are licorice, the guardrails are made of pretzels, the plank is a cracker, the windows are life saver candies. The rocks are candies.
PralinesThis is the sweetest confection! Called Pralines in New Orleans and "sucre à la crème" up here in Quebec.
Princess cake/ Jan. 2020This was a princess cake request with a REAL doll in it! But it was made clear that it could not be a Barbie doll.
Rabbit cake /April 2014Two round cakes, one is the face, the other gets cut into two ears and one bow tie. I iced the cakes with white buttercream and sprinkled coconut all over to look like fur. I used gel colouring (in a tube) to make the eyes, nose, mouth and ears. I used smarties to decorate the tie.
Raspberries and rhubarb crumbleThis tastes great served hot over vanilla ice cream. The choice of fruit can vary, apples and peaches are especially suited for crumbles, you can add spices accordingly such as cinnamon, ginger or nutmeg. You can also add 1/2 cup of old-fashioned rolled oats or 1/2 cup chopped nuts (or both) to the topping. Crumbles will keep, covered and refrigerated, for up to 1 week. Serve cold, room temperature, or re-warmed in a low oven for 20 minutes.
