It was this time of year again: my favorite festival: The Just for laughs one. I went to see one show:
“Skakespeare for dummies” which was OK but what really amuses me the most are the street entertainers.
Here are just a few examples of what or who walks by when you sit at a cafe on St Denis street during the festival.
The walking heads with tongues loved to sneak up on unsuspecting ladies and flick their pink appendage at them. Yes they are retractable! The unicyclist cum juggler with a glass of water on his head was a Brit with a lovely accent.
These 2 couples did not interact with the public much, they were in their own worlds, the first two obviously climbing the highest summit and the other two…welll I am not sure…
The duchesses on stilts were amazing, their costumes and make up were impressive to start with but the fact that they were on stilts made them literally larger than life. And they could run on those at surprising speeds! I am not sure what to call the other “animal” but they were all over the place…
