I am still surprised by unexpected views of the city. I walked to the stadium today and caught this pretty view of the downtown skyline , along with one of the bands that performed at half time…
The visiting team was the Saskatchewan Roughriders. The Alouettes beat them.
I was sitting in the Tellus section this time, so instead of the condoms and boxers of last time we got T-shirts with the Als logo and small footballs. The noise makers were much more convenient too as they were small plastic hands that you shook to emit a clapping sound, instead of the 2 balloons that required 2 hands to hit them together…how is one supposed to hold a beer, a hot dog, a program, binoculars, maybe even a camera and STILL bang those balloons????
The girls hired to get the crowds excited were awesome. They kept everyone jumping throughout the entire game. I am torn between wanting better seats in the boring sections, and remaining in the cheap section where the ambiance is so great.
