Turkey still…

I am still sorting my trip photos. I am having trouble selecting and eliminating, but to give myself a boost I am going to put a few here that might not make it on the travel side.
I get asked a lot of questions about the Turkish people. Since 96% of them are muslims thay are often linked with more conservative or extremist Arab countries. But since Mustafa Kemal (Ataturk) in the early 1900, the country has become a republic and is now a modern and laic state. Nothing extreme here, save for the beauty of the country. The people I had a chance to talk with were all very friendly and eager for the world to know more about them. I always felt safe and comfortable even when I set out on my own and only met with charming helpful people. I must say that I have a weak spot for mediterranean physique and Turkish men are fine examples. Here are a few i dared photograph.

A young dancer who performed with a folkloric group, and our baloon driver.

A sculptor who was covered in white stone dust and a group of men who were having their picture taken but could not agree on a pose…
