Christmas is approaching and the decorations are up. Every year there seems to be a new “IN” colour or theme. This year it is the new Dell bulbs that are supposed to save 80% more energy (whatever that means). The striking thing about them are their blues that are very bright and their whites that have a purplish tint to them. I find that pretty, if not very christmassy. But one thing that never changes is the Ogilvie store window. It has been there as far back as I can remember. An entire village of animated animals and people. I used to bring my kids every year, nowadays I walk by it often and still enjoy looking in. The bag pipe player still walks and plays through and around the store at noon daily. There is also a man outside wearing a racoon hat who makes music with wooden spoon.
