This area is south of the french quarter, past the warehouse district. I had been told not to miss it and I am thankful that I went. It is a lovely neighbourhood nestled between St Charles street and the Mississippi. Gorgeous old homes with verandhas that just call for a cold drink, a wicker chair and a lazy afternoon. The streets are lined with huge trees providing much needed shade.
