I tried two very different restaurants last week. One is relatively new and very inexpensive for the quality of food served there. It is called Le Margaux and is located just at the border of Outremont. For once I did not have my camera and the food was soooo photograph worthy! It was as good as it looked and the service was charming. I suggest you hurry on over before they become too popular and hike their prices.

The second is the total opposite; it is rather expensive and has been here for several years. It is a sushi restaurant called: Shô-Dan There are even 2 locations now: one on René Levesque and one on Metcalfe. The latter is much nicer. The meal I had there was worth every penny. They have dishes there that cannot be found anywhere else…
