The 30th edition of the Jazz fest was launched last night with the traditional free outdoor concert. The performer was Stevie Wonder.
I am of two minds when it comes to attending those events. There is an excitement and energy in those crowds…but there are also stomped on toes, spilled beer, lots of time spent waiting on your feet…
But I went to this one…There were giant screens set up everywhere and, of course, pleanty of speakers… so no matter where you were you could enjoy the concert.
Stevie started the concert with an homage to Michael Jackson…and played several of his songs but my favorite part was nearer to the end when he played his own best known hits.
It was a fun evening….wet but fun….people were dancing and singing along….I will never know what the guy behind me was smoking…but boy did it stink! My bet goes to corn silk …
