I tried this dive of a place…and dicovered the best calamari ever!!
The restaurant is located in the strangest location and looks like a 50s tavern, complete with a moose head on the wall. The tables reminded me of a lobster shack in Maine and yet…. the food is amazing! Those calamari were tender and tasty, in the lightest batter. The salad was very fresh and the souvlaki were great (although by then I was not so hungry anymore).
People line up outside to get in…a mix of families and couples, old and young and of every possible ethnic background.
It is labeled a Greek restaurant…but to me this is simply a great Montreal restaurant:
