I know I have read about this fruit, and the shopkeeper told me the name…but I cannot remember what it is.
Can anybody help?
I know it is a lime, it tastes acidic like a lemon or a lime, but those red beads are so much prettier … like caviar. I am told they are used in cooking and in drinks… I can see them floating in a martini.
At first glance they remind me of dates. They are the same size.
But when you slice them open they are a cross between a tiny grapefruit and a pomegranate.
And it is surprising the amount of beads that come out when you squeeze it.
