I was looking for a light funny chick flick. From the trailers and ads I had seen I chose the sisterhood film. I was disappointed but enchanted. It is not light and funny at all, but a very good movie. I cried copiously.
In short it tells the stories of four close friends who spend their first summer away from each other. Each one lives through some painful experience and survives, becoming a more mature and caring young woman. The pants are only a pretext. The actresses are all excellent as well as very pretty. The rythm of the film is energetic, the photography very efficient and even spectacular at times, especially in the scenes in Greece. I recommend it especially for teen age girls and young women. It deals with issues that are universal but it is not preachy.
