Rabbit cake /April 2014Two round cakes, one is the face, the other gets cut into two ears and one bow tie. I iced the cakes with white buttercream and sprinkled coconut all over to look like fur. I used gel colouring (in a tube) to make the eyes, nose, mouth and ears. I used smarties to decorate the tie.
Raspberries and rhubarb crumbleThis tastes great served hot over vanilla ice cream. The choice of fruit can vary, apples and peaches are especially suited for crumbles, you can add spices accordingly such as cinnamon, ginger or nutmeg. You can also add 1/2 cup of old-fashioned rolled oats or 1/2 cup chopped nuts (or both) to the topping. Crumbles will keep, covered and refrigerated, for up to 1 week. Serve cold, room temperature, or re-warmed in a low oven for 20 minutes.
Roasted cauliflowerThis recipe is probably healthier than the traditional cheese sauce covered cauliflower one, it is also very tasty. You can play with the flavours using powders instead of the onion and garlic and adding or subtracting spices....
