Ingredients
Directions
Wrap sheet pan in heavy duty aluminum foil
Mix dry ingredients
Place ribs meat side down in a second layer of aluminum foil
Remove silver skin or prick it several times with knife
Generously apply dry rub to all sides of rack
Let the rack marinate an hour or more in the fridge
Preheat over to 250° F
With meat side down, fold foil around meat to create a tight seal and transfer to sheet pan.
Bake in preheated oven until tender and cooked through about 2 hours.
Remove from oven and let cool enough to be able to manipulate the foil.
Increase oven temperature to 350°F
Open foil, drain and discard juices and fat.
Brush BBQ sauce on all sides of rack.
Place rack meat side up and return to oven, leaving foil open (but making sure the sheet pan is still well wrapped in foil)
Bake for 10 minutes, remove from oven and brush another layer of BBQ sauce on meat side.
Repeat baking and brushing 4 more times for a total of 50 minutes baking time.
Cut rack into individual rib segments and serve with more BBQ sauce.
These ingredients and the quantities are mere suggestions, any combination of some or all of them can work as well.
Whisk together all of the ingredients in a medium saucepan over medium heat.
Allow the sauce to bubble and then reduce the heat and allow it to simmer for 10 minutes. This helps to deepen the flavors and thicken the sauce.
