Restaurant Europea

I tried an exquisite new restaurant today. It is called Europea. It is located at 1227 de la Montagne, in the heart in downtown hidden between several other restaurants and an art gallery. It has a tiny terrace but I am glad I chose to eat inside in the cool, clean and quiet dining room. The tables were set with spectacular blue green glass plates and gorgeous blown glass napkin holders.
We chose their business lunch menu and were pleasantly surprised by extra dishes. While we studied the menu we were presented with a spoonfull of gravlax served with a crunchy garnish, the first course, called a teaser was equally small and delicious: a lobster cream Cappuccino with truffles oil. At the end of the meal, after the cheese plate (or the dessert one) we were offered a lovely tray containing tiny pastries and small glass pots containing a pistaccio cream that was divine. When we asked for tea we were presented with a sampler containing the prettiest mini boxes of tea, each one containing a delicate muslim bag of loose tea…and a tray of various sugars, such as vanilla sugar, ginger sugar, lemon sugar, coco sugar even demerara sugar (a rarity in Montreal). I loved everything about this meal! I give this restaurant a thumbs up! Even their website is pretty:
