Verdict: unsuccessful!

I got an envelope in the mail today. My name and address were hand written in block letters with no return address. Inside was a newspaper page titled: “Want Perfect skin?” At the top was a short note in the same block letters saying:
” Eve, get it, it works! J ”
The only identification on top of the page says “Weekly Journal”…on the back was a page of mutual funds listings.
This is the most unusual kind of advertising I have ever seen…I did not read the article but I did search my brains to make sure I do not know anyone with the initial J who would have an interest in the state of my skin.
Whenever an ad catches my eye for whatever reason, good or bad, I always ask myself if, in the long run, it has succeeded in making me remember the product. In this case, it did not. I still have no idea what the product is, what it is called or where it is sold.
