I have not been very good with writing this summer. I am still short on energy. No use feeling guilty, I just cannot do more than I am doing. I was used to always pushing myself to do more, to go the extra mile, I could and I did…but not this year. It is taking forever but I am not giving up hope that I will go back to my old self… minus the memory which I think is just old age…although I have been told this too is temporary and returns after 60… I find it hard to believe but heck… why not? It is a nicer prospect than to think that I am slowly loosing it for good.
Sooo here is an overview of my summer of 07 so far…
It started with the Jazz fest. It was a big success with lots of people…as always. It was nice to have a choice of shows, as some were less crowded thus not as tiring.
New Orleans has a special place in the program this year.
I am not sure who this was…but she was colourful….
Speaking of New Orleans and my love affair with that city. I finally took a cooking lesson on Cajun food. The teacher was a very funny and entertaining lady. She taught us about the history of the people and the food traditions that followed. She used French words that I don’t think she was even aware of….
I am planning to have a New Orleans evening soon, complete with Zydeco music, Mint Juleps, gumbo, jambalaya, bread pudding and…. pralines!!!!
