A crumble is a British dessert in which raw fruit is topped with a crumbly pastry mixture and baked.
A cobbler is a baked, deep-dish fruit dessert topped with a thick biscuit crust sprinkled with sugar.
They sound pretty similar to me....So this is a general recipe to accommodate a variety of fresh fruit. I like apples, berries, peaches. Any fruit that you have, even if they are a little bit over-ripe, will do.

Cut them up to approximately 1/2 inch pieces (save for berries).
Sprinkle them with sugar and spices (cinnamon or other to your liking...even pepper) lemon juice
Combine flour with sugar, spices and butter
Mix with a pastry cutter or two knives or even your fingers
I like to add oats (the little breakfast envelopes that no one ever uses) and brown sugar, even ground almonds
Bake in a 375°F oven for approximately 20 minutes until topping is golden and the fruit is bubbling
Serve hot or cold with vanilla ice cream....
