I went on a dinner cruise tonight, on a ship called “Le Cavalier Maxim”. The ship leaves from one of the docks in the old port and sails for 4 hours towards les Îles de Boucherville and then back. You get to see the sun set and then the night skyline. During the fireworks festival you can also watch the displays as the ships passes next to the launch site.
A very nice meal is served. Ours came complete with a glass of bubbly, a bottle of wine and a glass of port with the cheese plate. There were several choices and combos available with lobster being the main attraction.
After the meal there was music and dancing on one of the outside bridges. It makes for a lovely evening.
I got the feeling that there were a lot of locals, many of them celebrating birthdays and anniversaries, possibly more than tourists….
