GazolinasI first tasted this cocktail in Mexico city. It was served out of a little jerrycan, thus the name. The bar owner gave us a very succinct verbal recipe. Here is my best recollection, combined with other versions of it. If you do not want to go through the entire process of making the liqueur, you can buy ready made "Ancho Reyes Chile Ancho liqueur".

General Tao’s chickenAlso known as "General Tso" this is a spicy dish. It is usually served with rice and vegetables (bock choi, carrots, peppered etc) and sprinkle with green onions.

Ginger ice cream

I have had an ice cream maker for a while and have been experimenting with all sorts of flavour combinations, never thinking to save any of the recipes. With this ginger ice cream I decided to start doing so, if not for others, at least for my own future reference. This ginger ice cream was a big success. Very flavorful without being too strong, I served it with flambé pineapple pieces but it is great on its own.

Gingerbread cupcakesI find these to be very cute and a good use for those extra gingerbread men. Perfect fo gingerbread afficionados.
